Dr Shahzaib Anwar is an experienced, highly skilled Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist.
He completed his basic physician and Gastroenterology training at Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide, followed by two dedicated years of Advanced Endoscopy Fellowships at the Alfred, Royal Melbourne Hospital and Western Health.
Dr Anwar performs hundreds of complex advanced endoscopy procedures every year, including ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound and endoscopic resection of large colonic and gastric polyps. Conditions he manages include colon cancer screening, GORD, coeliac disease, Barrett’s oesophagus, irritable bowel syndrome, liver disorders and pancreato-biliary disorders such as bile duct stones and cancers of the bile duct and pancreas.
He is actively involved in training gastroenterology registrars and medical students, and has published widely in international journals.
