Dr Usman Mahmood is an experienced, Australian-trained Kidney Specialist (Nephrologist). He graduated in 2006, completed post-graduate training in public hospitals across Victoria, the Northern Territory and Queensland, and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Nephrology) in January 2017.
He has broad experience across Nephrology and General Medicine and is passionate about providing holistic, high-standard care. He holds public appointments at Northern Health and Western Health.
Dr Mahmood has authored book chapters and peer-reviewed publications, is an Editor with IntechOpen, and is an associate lecturer at the University of Melbourne. He also looks after perioperative patients, holding a certificate in Perioperative Medicine from the Alfred Hospital, and is certified in Clinical Nephropathology from Harvard University.
Dr Mahmood is well equipped to look after patients from a sub-continental background. Outside work, he is a cricket lover and enjoys time with his family.
